As Director of Business Development, Bob is responsible for assisting with developing client relationships through an understanding of their facility needs.
Prior to joining Browning Bob was Manager of Strategic Partnerships for Championship Auto Racing (CART). He increased awareness of the Series and generated sponsor interest through event attendance. Bob previously worked for Turner Construction, Johnson Controls and Wilhelm Construction where he specialized in strategic planning and sales pursuits to promote growth and generate increased earnings. Bob also worked for the Indianapolis Economic Development Corporation during the Hudnut administration and the Indiana Department of Commerce during Governor Orr’s tenure. Possessing a background of political involvement, Bob has also assisted a number of statewide and local office holders with their campaigns.
Bob obtained his B.S. Degree (no, it’s not what you think) in Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 1983 and attended the MBA program at the University of Indianapolis.
Bob is a mayoral appointee to the Indianapolis Economic Development Commission, as well as several other committees for the Indy Chamber, LEDO’s, and non-profits. He has been a member of the Indiana Economic Development Association for over 25 years. What’s most impressive is that Bob has been able to accomplish all of this while actively participating in any number of competitive sports including, softball, basketball and running.
