As President and CEO, John oversees the strategic direction of all facets of the company including development, consulting, financing, construction, acquisitions, dispositions and property management. At home, John’s responsibilities include trying (oftentimes ineffectively) to remember the name of his youngest daughter’s hundred-plus stuffed animals and attempting to keep up with his oldest daughter during jogs through the neighborhood.
John previously served as Director of Real Estate Development at Browning. In this capacity, John managed Browning’s joint venture partnerships with Duke Realty and Prologis and oversaw the development of multiple parks and significant industrial, office and mixed-use facilities.
Prior to joining Browning, John practiced law in the real estate groups at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP in Indianapolis, Indiana and Dentons (formerly Sonnenschein Nath and Rosenthal) in Chicago, Illinois.
John received his J.D. from the New York University School of Law. He obtained a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Arts in the same field from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.
He is actively involved with Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana and currently serves as board chair of the Goodwill Industries Foundation of Central Indiana. John also serves on the boards of many philanthropic and economic development organizations, including INHP, Midtown Indianapolis, Inc., The Indy Chamber and the Indianapolis Public Safety Foundation.
John is proof that everyone deserves a second chance. It seems he was kicked out of the Cub Scouts for being “too disruptive.”
