This summer the Browning executive team, lead by CEO John Hirschman, participated in the MBA Capstone program at Butler University’s Lacy School of Business. Hirschman worked alongside Butler faculty members Bob Marchesani and Mike Haugh to craft a “strategic imperative” for the class to work on as though hired as business consultants for Browning.
Butler offers the class three times a year and as Browning can attest, it generates substantive strategic planning for the client firm while providing a stretch experience Butler seeks for their MBA students’ last term.
Students started by learning about Browning’s history, our philosophy, where we have found success in the market and areas we are considering for growth. Based around the current business climate and Browning’s business model the students researched the market and provided idea generation and recommendation resources.
It was a great pleasure for Browning to have the opportunity to work with the Lacy School of Business Integrative Capstone Experience course. The members of the class were highly engaged, curious, smart and quick studies.
Thanks to the terrific work of the class members, over the course of the term the Browning executive team learned a lot about our company, our business, our competitors and our markets. We are very excited to see what is next for these Bulldogs as they continue to enrich our community.
